Qualification / Competencies Required

Experience: 0 to 1 years

UG/PG in Computer Science Engineering or Master Degree in Computer Science / Application

Design and build applications for the Android platform (5.0 - 6.0)

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and develop new features

Work with outside data sources and API’s

Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability

Work on bug fixing and improving application performance

Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency

Proficient in Android SDK, ADT, Eclipse/Android Studio

Strong knowledge of Core Java and Object Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts

Experience on web service integration (SOAP, REST, JSON, XML)

Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices

Experience with offline storage, SQLite, multi-threading, services, content providers, geolocation and performance tuning

Experience in at least one code versioning system like SVN, GIT, etc.

Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications

Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks

Hands on experience in Realtime / Research Applications

Innovative with good analytical, quantitative and data interpretation skills

Good written communication skills, excellent documentation and presentation skills a must

A self-starter and self-paced learner
